Welcome back to the Ritzy Couture blog! We know it’s March, which means we’re a long way from Christmas. Gone are the days of hanging adorable angels on the tree while singing along to your favorite Christmas songs and sipping peppermint mochas. But does it have to be that way? Here at Ritzy Couture, we’re all about fun and enjoying life to the fullest, and what is more fun than celebrating the magic of Christmas? We know that many of you lovely readers may be experiencing what we refer to as a “Christmas hangover,” and would prefer instead to extend the joyous holiday all year long, if you could. Well, we’re here to offer tips on how you can do just that! In today’s blog post, let’s explore some ways to carry on the magic and joy of Christmas by extending your holiday cheer all year long! Read on, dear Christmas-loving friends, to learn more!

Rock That Christmas Jewelry Loud and Proud

Who says you have to put away your Christmas jewelry once the holidays are over? We say, if you want to keep wearing your colorful tree ornament Christmas earrings, do it! And while you’re at it, go ahead and rock that radiant red and green poinsettia Christmas ring and matching Christmas pendant. If you want to continue wearing Christmas jewelry, but want to change up the color scheme, wear classic and elegant snowflake jewelry, instead. Check out our Ritzy Couture “Life’s a Gift” jewelry, complete with gift-themed designs which feature pinks, blues, and yellows.

Stock Up on Christmas Candles

One way to extend Christmas year-round is to fill your home with the scents of pine trees, cinnamon, vanilla, and sandalwood. Check out after Christmas sales and stock up on all your favorite holiday candles and waxes. That way, even if it’s the middle of July, all you have to do is light a candle to be whisked away to a winter wonderland! If you prefer the natural scent of cinnamon, pick up some cinnamon sticks at your local grocery store, fill up a small saucepan with water, and add the cinnamon sticks to it. Turn a stovetop burner up and bring the water to a gentle boil, and your home will be filled with the warming, pleasant aroma of fresh cinnamon.

Subtle Christmas Decorations

While you may not want to have all of your collectible Santa Claus and Frosty the Snowman statues set out, there is nothing wrong with keeping a few Christmas decorations out all year. Try finding subtle Christmas decorations that work or even enhance your regular home decor. Plant-themed decor is always a great way to keep the magic of Christmas going in your home. Reindeer-themed is popular in homes located in mountain towns, so one could make the case that these items are also connected to Christmas. And, of course, anything with snowflakes or angels is always an excellent way to subtly celebrate Christmas all year.

A Splash of Red and Green

While we’re on the topic of home decor, you can always pick up Christmas-colored bedding, bathroom towels, kitchen towels, drapes, placemats, and dishes to add a little Christmas flair to every room in your home. You can even go all out and add new red or green tiles to your kitchen or bathroom, or paint your walls a classy red or calming green. So, next time you’re shopping online for home decor, add a few green and red plaid throw pillows and a warm, comfy fleece throw to your shopping cart.

String Christmas Lights Around The House

Okay, maybe you don’t want to keep your Christmas tree up all year, as you’ll likely need that extra space in your home for other things. However, you can string Christmas lights around your favorite household plant to provide that wonderful, warm lighting we all love around the holidays. In fact, you can string Christmas lights on just about anything, as strand lighting is hugely popular right now. You can go as simple as hanging Christmas lights on household plants to decorating your vanity with sparkling blue or white lights. Try stringing Christmas lights in your kitchen which provides the perfect mood lighting when you’re entertaining guests.

Do What Makes You Happy

However you choose to extend Christmas, just do it in a way that makes you happy! And don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t celebrate Christmas all year, because you can!
